For those who don’t understand the concept and meaning of the music video: The members are queens here. Normally queens don’t wear sneakers. Instead they wear high heels or other fancy shoes… But in this music video they wear sneakers. The message is, that you should do what you want to do and don’t care what others think about you. It’s another be-yourself-song, which is a typical concept for Itzy. Stop saying Itzy changed their concept, because this song fits them well! I know that the vibe is different to their other songs, but don’t be afraid of something new.

Some people thought they had been "promised" a "classy/royal" concept based on the early promos and then acted like JYP had kicked their dog or something when the real concept was revealed. They seemed to think they were entitled to the concept they had built up in their minds and then took it out on the girls. I watched it happen in real time on reddit. It was like the death of kpop. I've only started stanning Itzy recently and am watching this MV for the first time right now. It's fun. I like "Cake," too. Haters need to put their sneakers on and touch grass.

its not a bad song but people thought they were catfished with royal itzy but i really feel like the biggest reason was that the song felt like it was not a good title track song *for its own time* (2022). the issue was timing, people like to compare title tracks of each groups and felt that itzy is not supposed to be "inferior" like this compared to other comebacks of other groups *on that time.* now im just saying that's probably what happened, but if i judge this reaction towards the song i think that was not really rational. because itzy members are talented: the expectations of quality for the title track is really high. but then again, still not rational especially when itzy themselves doesn't decide what song they release, they're just given and they have to perform that like it or not. the problem is that regardless if they blame the girls or not the girls but the management- the girls are and will always be the most affected.

I don't care who hears it. This song is literally a masterpiece. It is so catchy and such a bop. One of my favorite ITZY songs and I could listen to it everyday. Vocals are gorgeous. The music video is gorgeous. All of the members are gorgeous. I literally rate this song 100/10. I just love it so much 😭

I'm gonna be honest, I wasn't expecting to like this comeback. When they first came out with the royal concept photos I was super pumped, but then quickly became disappointed when I heard the teasers. But you know what? I'm not disappointed at all! I LOVE this comeback. The choreography is SO fun and I love the adlibs throughout the song. And the outfits are all so cool! This is a classic Itzy sound, and I'm not mad about it. I think they all equally shined this comeback as well! The girls did a great job and I'll definitely have this on repeat.

She's always one of the best visual since day 1, but i like her old looks/visual better. The only current visual of her that i like the most is the queen photoclip/checkmate album concept. Her visual during sneakers are downgrading, they turn her to some typical girl idol that you can find in every boring group. Even her act doesn't feel like the Yeji. Like in 2022 autumn I became interested in itzy, I found out about their song wannabe which I fell in love with for the first listen and kept replaying for hours The I decided to check out their other songs from which I loved loco so much along with dalla dalla Now these songs were already loved buy fans but here is where it started I started exploring other songs and guess what I fell in love with Cheshire boys like you not shy and snickers And the thing is I had no idea people hated them there was a hate train going on The point is that when a group releases a song Some popular KZread will trash on it for views and they do get views but by that fans also start hating on it cuz they don't have their own opinion and would rather follow the crowd. Which is what happend with itzy I believe.some fans didn't like their comeback posted their opinion on social media and a bunch of naive fans decided to also hate on them, which is how the hate trained began

When I heard this I just thought to myself: "Why would the fanbase style-gatekeep their own idols?" But it makes sense considering how a lot of people see idols more like robots than actual humans. @@ForsakenSanityGaming I personally when i say “itzy bad song” i mean the song that the producers/company gave them, and the concept they did, I don’t blame or hate on “itzy” members, Itzy is their company and product. and the members are the puppets in some way. The puppets doesn’t make the song, they might choose but they 100% of the time don’t make it (lyrics is not included it’s mostly the melody and the flow of what make the song …) so, the puppets are 0 to blame. They get the hate because the company technically does it “for them” so the song and concept / lore is the final product that using the puppet to advertise it to get money. But, sometimes the song ending up being bad. Does it mean they have terrible voices? No, wannabe is a hit, i love loco, and much more OLD titletracks. Its sad that people hate on the actual members when all need to blame company… but overall im still disappointed this is why I unstanned. They are not even close to how they started. They lost the touch.

So we were all like “how are they going to do elegant queens and punk girls in the same video” and THEY ACTUALLY PULLED IT OFF! Itzy queens for the win y’all! I love this song! The build up to the chorus is great and so satisfying. I actually really like the melody before the chorus comes in, the weirdo line is so pretty. Did I mention I love this concept? Cause I do!!!!

Really love the scene where Lia and the Girls are handing the sneakers to Yeji, it looks like they are inviting her to also have fun and enjoy, and not only handle the burden alone like what they do as a group.
