what makes this song special is that it is everyone's story. the struggles, the daily grind, the fake hello, the dead spirit inside us. at one point in our lives, we become a zombie, living for the sake of it. but being a zombie isn't the end. at one point, we become hopeful again, we want to live and feel alive. as the members experience mental struggle, this song even speaks louder. although they are regarded as the band with no bad songs, they still become a zombie with empty hearts and empty minds. but i hope they feel alive again, not for us but for them--for the person that was lost, for the person they miss the most. aside from the emotional lyrics, the instrumental is phenomenal! it's not the typical DAY6 where transitions are dramatic and vocals are dynamic. instead, this song sits on their lower to mid registers. but not to mistake, the chord progression is still as complicated as fck. and the mixing and transitions of the song is on another level like really complicated; they are subtle yet difficult to pull off. so to end this essay, let's all support our superband to the end. i know we won't get any promotions for this comeback but please support them in our little ways. fighting DAY6. hope u get well, mydays are just here waiting. no rush.

I think Jae's voice is the soul of this song. I can feel the struggle and helplessness of life in his voice. Hope to hear the original version one day.

This song is about people who live like zombies. Not alive but also not dead. Live for no reasons and direction. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow will be the same. Looping like vicious circle. That's why the teaser said "can we survive this demon?". It turns out the demon is ourselves that can't get out from that situation. We live a life that not alive

It's because so many people have become disconnected from their souls, and don't explore their spirituality and develop a deeper meaning for their lives. Money, and work, and even relationships aren't going to feed that hunger inside. We must tap into our hearts and listen to our souls speak. We're here for so much more, a bigger picture, but many alive today don't recognize this, and they feel hollow inside because of it. They need to recognize they are part of the universe, and the universe is inside of them. Source, the universe, God, whatever you want to call it- it's part of what we are, and it's what everything is derived from. We suffer a lot when we get caught up in the worldly shallow surface level stuff- the ego minds desires for pleasure, but no self actualization, no sense of connection to what's deeper, and what ties us to every living thing, and even the stars. When people come to recognize this, they can open their hearts to connect with life more deeply, themselves and others more deeply, knowing that they are part of the whole of creation. We are divine.

Mental health is so important. My heart goes out to this song and to the guys of Day6. It broke my heart when I heard that you guys were strugging with mental health. As someone who's diagnosed with clinical depression for almost 7 years, I wouldn't wish that kind of thing to my worst enemy, let alone a band that I admire and respect. Thank you for the music Day6. Your songs have consoled me throughout the years. Take all the time you need to bounce back. Healing is a process.

this is a song about feeling empty, feeling that life has no point. for everyone else who experiences this song on a personal level, in response i would like to suggest that you listen to day6's "when you love someone" or "i'll try", songs that serve as a reminder that there's always someone out there to comfort you and be by your side on difficult days.

20대때 진짜 힘들었을때 오늘 밤에 집에오면 잘 수 있으니까 일어나서 나가자 라는 생각으로 출근했었는데 그때 마음을 딱 대변하는 가사가 그저 잠에 들기만을 기다리며 살아라서 너무 와닿았어요 데이식스는 공감하면서 울림을 주는 가사가 담긴 명곡들이 많은 거 같아요 응원합니다

The fact that both the English and Korean lyrics are sooo impactful, shows how talented as an artist they are. I think even in 2022 till date the English version of zombie is the best English song I have heard from any k group (k-pop group) because this was the first time was got hooked to the lyrics first then the melody (they are sooo well written). Just love it.

I'M CRYING. SOO RELATE WITH MY LIFE. This is me before working from home. Every day leave in the morning, go home until 12pm-1am . Always crying in the beginning, until at the point that i am tired of crying. Time is running out on trips and in the office, there is no time for me to relax and rest. Now it's almost 3 months working from home, i must stay 24/7 to maintenance client. Life is really hard, but i need to work cz i need money for life :') Day6 describes the workers very well. Good job! Get well really soon for y'all. ♥️

This song is talking about the times in your lives when you feel like your just living without a purpose, that you're just living for the sake of it, as if your life isn't special, as if your life isn't meaningful and why this song seems to be so relatable is because I'm sure every single person has thought these thoughts at LEAST once in their lifetime. DAY6 have always put 'connecting with fans' first and you can TRULY TRULY feel that with this song, that they're trying to create music that fans can connect and relate to and then comfort them. As I said, I'm sure every person feels lost at least once in their lives and that's okay, that's what DAY6 as a group, with their music is telling us. So I hope that DAY6 understand this too, it's alright to feel lost but what is important is that you learn through that, take your time and come back when your happy and healthy.

This lyric is so relatable for me. 2019 is the worst year I've ever had. I stuck with my research and thesis. I push people away, my family, friends, and someone who want to help me. My mind is always not right, I usually crying at night and feel useless after that. Until one day, I really want to end my life. I know there's something wrong with me. I'm trying to ease my mind, I would doing anything to make me feel better. I learn about self acceptance. I'm loving my self more. I learn that it's okay to feeling negative for a while. I accept every pain that come to me. And found this amazing band with lovely fandom (myday), their music help me a lot. There's a time I lose my self again, and they're keep me on track. Thank you so much Day6 for your music, your word, your encouragement. So I can still breath right now. I hope you're going well soon. For all people who have problem, please stay strong. When nobody can't be reason for your happiness just do it for yourself :)

Hey i've been through the same problems as yours too in 2019. I became mydays in 2019 too, and day6 help me through my hard days. I had some family problems too in 2019. But right now i've been living my best life by self acceptance about this life. I hope someday you'll find the meaning of this lifes, you still have a lot of chance to get better every day. I love the message and everything, but can we just talk about their first day sales from their albums? “The Day” only got 23, “Entropy” only got 8,585, “The Demon” got 30,174. Yall that’s such a big difference from Entropy. The growth omg. And to mention, they’re the first boy group (band) of JYP to hit at top 5 in melon since 2PM (group) I’m really happy for my boys, but sadly they can’t promote. What’s good is they’re finally becoming more recognised in Korea, this might probably becoming their most successful comeback yet.

I feel like many people can relate to this song at the moment. I have seen so many depressing posts on the Internet ever since this situation started, people feeling lonely and suicidal, everyone going through mental breakdowns. Itʼs extremely hard to protect your mental health when youʼre locked inside four walls. Iʼm so happy Day6 gave us a song that makes us feel less alone during these times. After what was annnounced earlier today, I sincerely hope they take care of their mental health too. Letʼs all give ourselves the love and care we deserve. Thank you Day6.

Day6's comment section is always a refuge. It's not just about "who's your bias?" conversations, but deeper reflections. I found relief in everyone's stories and encouragement. I found wisdom in the way we interpret the message of the MVs. I found my voice thru the lyrics. There are a lot of things that I can't find words to express, a lot of emotions that I'm afraid to show. But, this band did all that for me. They sang the words that I can't say, showed the feeling that I've been hiding everyday. Thank you, Day6. Thank you, fellow My Day.

that’s so true. maybe it’s because they’re lyrics not only comfort us but encourage us to get whatever we need off our chest or tell us it’s okay to go through these experiences no matter what it is. they’ll always be that sort of comfort.

This was THE FIRST day6 song I heard. And I heard it from Seungmin's lips. From that point on I became a fan of Day6, obsessively listening to their songs, it was also when rumours first came out that Jae was going to leave. I joined the fandom late, but I'm happy that I somehow joined.

I'm crying soo much. As someone who has struggled with depression all their life, this song has given me so much comfort. I waking up each day has been a huge struggle. Not knowing my purpose in life and feeling completely lost. Not being able to think past the present and not seeing a future. I am honestly 'counting the time until I close my eyes'. My parents are not the type of people to acknowledge mental illnesses and in my culture, mental illness is a sign of weakness and associated with being broken. So I can't really tell anyone how I'm feeling. Just knowing that someone out there understands has made my heart feel so full of emotion, more than I thought I could feel. Even in my darkest days, Day6 makes me feel more alive than anything else. Day6, keep making beautiful music! Day6 Fighting! Edit: Thank you to everyone who has wished me well. There are still bad days but I try to find at least one thing, no matter small, that makes happy or proud every single day. I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to read, write and like, not only my comment but other people's comments too. My pain has eased a lot knowing that I am not suffering alone and I'm sure that many people will feel the same way too!

niiiss my parents are the same. They’re not very much concerned with mental health and overlook it. They’re always concerned over my grades without thinking about my struggle mentally. I think this song really speaks out to the people going through tough times or just feel like they’re missing out on something beautiful in life that makes theirs complete

When I see all this comments about emptiness, depression and loneliness I feel worried. I'm worried about you mydays. I know how it feels... This year I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, after years of believing that I had a mayor depression but no those apparently were episodes of this other disorder, and I don't know how to take that. Well, I never knew how to take anything so I've been living like a zombie just like you guys. So I just imagine all of you at home, trying to "live a life, this meaningless life" but I just can't. It feels unfair, all the endless suffering. Because I know that we try our best breath even when we don't want to. And I know that we all have done something wrong in our lives, but I also know that no one deserves this shirt. So to all mydays, in behalf of this life I want to say I'm sorry, you don't deserved this pain.

Life maybe feeling meaningless right now but it's okay to feel like a *zombie* when you need to. THIS IS WHY WE STAN DAY6. Not only their music is great to the ears even if u don’t read lyrics translation, the meaning of their song always hits hard. I especially like how the song ended in a soft, heartbreaking kind of slowness with a sad mellow sound. The members also seem to sing apathetically (hence, being a zombie), but the heartache can only be heard if you listen to the song closely. This just goes to show how this ‘becoming a zombie’ is a slow and lonely torture, a kind of pain that makes you want to drown in your own tears. “I live counting the time til I close my eyes.” How long can that possibly take? It’s something a lot of us experience- the only thing we can do is live through it until we finally reach the end of that counting. Just staying alive and withstanding tomorrow, even if it makes no difference, is another kind of courage. THANK YOU FOR THIS MUSIC, DAY6!!! And for letting us know that we are not alone in this.

When I first heard this song and read the lyrics, it threw me back to the worst time of my life. I used to say, "I once lived in a limbo; not wanting to live but not wanting to die either". I lived in the same routine, feeling numb and empty. For years. Zombie makes my heart ache in remembrance, but also.. Relieved that I'm not alone for feeling like one. I hope this song will be a comfort to people who, well, have become a zombie. You're not alone, and you can go through this! Please don't give up yet!

To everyone who is lost, afraid, sad & hopeless, always remember that there’s nothing wrong about it. It’s okay to experience pain. Having these painful experiences doesn’t make you weak but it will make you stronger. I know it is not easy but once you have defeated these painful experiences, everything will be worth it. Healing takes time. So please, do not force yourself. Take things one step at a time. Breathe, rest & recharge. Yeah, the last time I saw a mv comment section like this was when iKON I’m Ok came out

the transition between their vocals, how smooth goes the melody, their new instrumets... This isn't the common day6 song but powerful as always. Even it doesn't get high at any point, it hits really hard. I am just a student but being in class, changing rooms every hour... Even if i am at home like now, just staying in front of the computer and listening to these lessons for long hours. The lyrics are very accurate: we just get tired and tired of the same thing everyday, and one day you feel everything goes so fast while you fall behind. Then you don't have the strength to go on. It is sad they aren't feeling their best but i hope they rest enough so they comeback happier. This song and the rest of the album is a gift to all mydays outhere. We will enjoy it as always, waiting as long as it takes :)

Honestly, this hit me hard just like everyone else in the comment section. These past few months in quarantine have been difficult because I have just been trying to get through the semester. Do my assignments, email my professors, study basically non stop and time has just flown past me. I don't really remember what happened a week ago, I barely know what day it is most of the time because I do the same things every day. It feels incredibly restraining and I just wish that I had the opportunity to actually do something to make every day count even more. This song's message was one that I think a lot of people need to hear and recognize the life they have. We shouldn't allow ourselves to become zombies, do something new every day even if it's starting a book, practicing a skill, or beginning a workout routine. We need to find a feeling of purpose during this time so that we don't drift through our life not really experiencing it. Make tomorrow different. Stay safe and inside.
